ST. FELIX and UNSERE LIEBE FRAU IM WALDE are two neighbouring villages in Southytrol/Italy. One is more rural, the other a small pilgrim place. They are situated at an altitude of 1256m and 1351m with about 700 inhabitants.

This audio journey is part of UNHEARD PLACES.

UNHEARD PLACES is a series of audio journeys through unheard places. They are villages in transition, locations that will be forgotten and regions that are far away from tourist centres. UNHEARD PLACES travels to these places and collects sound images with the microphone. These sounds, moments and conversations are combined to create unique sound collages and narrative soundscapes.

Recorded with a Sony PCM, a stereo piezo micorphone and a hydrophone. Completely based on field recordings.
